Based on the text analysis of the work report of 61 cities,
it is found that economic prosperity, social stability, beautiful environment,
urban-rural coordination, open cooperation and advanced science and technology
are the overall goals of the construction and development of China’s central city. Realizing
the modernization of the economy, coordination, and high quality development,
constructing hard and soft power ability and people-oriented cities, promoting
the coordinated development of urban and rural areas, achieving high levels of
opening to the outside world and regional cooperation, guarantying national shared
development achievements, are the dimensions ofgoals of China’s center city in
economic construction, urban and rural construction, open collaboration, and
social construction. In general, the development goals of the central city are
following the two main lines of competitiveness and sustainability, and guided
by the five development concepts of innovation, coordination, green, openness
and sharing.
