Abstract: Based on the analysis of the Korean movie Parasite, the article reveals the hierarchical images in the movie: when society runs normally, different classes keep in order and live in harmony due to the segregation of classes which works as a buffer. However, once the class transgression occurs, it may lead to disorder, which eventually will induce conflict. In this sense, it is social evolution that leads to “class spatialization” and housing classes in modern society, which has the function of maintaining established social hierarchy.
