Abstract:
Based on the data of CGSS 2012,a Bayesian Heckman two-stage model was established to analyze the impact of structural social capital and cognitive social capital on the behavior and level of individual charitable donations. The results show that in terms of structural social capital, formal organization membership, civic participation and bridging social network have significantly positive impact on individual charitable donation behavior and level, and informal social interaction has significantly negative impact on individual charitable donation behavior;cognitive social capital has significantly positive impact on individual charitable donation behavior, but has no significant impact on the level of charitable donation.
