Abstract:

As a vital solution to address population aging, smart elderly care has increasingly attracted attention from various sectors of society. However, during its implementation,a lack of sufficient trust from the elderly towards smart elderly care has led to the emergence of the “elderly’s technology anxiety” phenomenon. This anxiety manifests in three main ways:“cold reception” in infrastructure development,“intergenerational perception gaps” in the use of smart devices, and “rapid knowledge updates” in the process of improving digital literacy. The underlying causes can be attributed to the fragmentation of community trust, mismatched supply and demand in practical application, and gaps in age-friendly adaptations. Based on these findings, this paper proposes specific strategies to address “elderly’s technology anxiety”,suggesting a three-stage approach:the initial exploration stage focusing on scientific planning, the rapid development stage emphasizing pilot breakthroughs, and the comprehensive deepening stage aimed at broad-scale implementation.
