Abstract:

Ode to virtue and politics was a way for the ancient government to commend officials’

achievements，which recorded their outstanding achievements in local governance. As a result，

the moral and political eulogies has retained a lot of information on local governance. Based on the literature of ode to virtue and politics in Tang Dynasty，this paper mainly discusses the local governance in Tang Dynasty，in order to provide reference for contemporary local governance.
