During the Tang and Song Dynasties，the term “application” has multiple combinations and multiple meanings. Though these uses and meanings of this term in the context of the time are very close to the concept of practical writing in our time, the term of application that can correspond directly to the concept of practical writing in our time has not really took shape during this period，because of lacking a master.
