Abstract: The reason why secretarial science was divided into social or human sciences and became a branch science is due to the socialand historical needs and requests of the development of industrial structure rather than to the unique research subjects and research areas，such as traditional studies. Today，however，the advent of the era of the fourth industrial revolution calls for a shift in the paradigm of secretarial studies. The study will explore the theoretical and prescriptive nature of Korean secretaries in various ways including the establishment of secretarial major，the expansion of research team，the journals of secretarial studies，curriculum and the publication of teaching materials，and the employment and certification system，and further explore the path Korean secretarial science should go in the era of the fourth industrial revolution.
