Abstract: DONG Jichao is a scholar and educator with remarkable achievements in the field of contemporary secretarial research in China. From the perspective of the needs of secretarial construction and teaching, he put forward and answered a series of fundamental questions concerning the subject construction of secretarial science, including the subject object, basic concept and theoretical framework of secretarial science. Starting from the social needs, this paper makes clear the construction goal and talent training path of secretary major in colleges and universities, and systematically reviews and summarizes his thoughts on secretary science, which will provide important enlightenment for the development of secretary science in the new era.
