Abstract: Paradigm plays an important role in the development of discipline. It reflects the principles and beliefs shared by the scientific community, which also define the basic theories, viewpoints and methods of discipline research. The three theories of "secretarial work theory", "secretarial activity theory" and "management assistant activity theory" formed in the development process of Chinese contemporary secretarial science represent the three paradigms of secretarial science. Sorting out the development context of these three paradigms and analyzing their basic research principles, values and shortcomings will help select or create a leading paradigm with sustainable development power for secretarial research in the current low development period,and provide a new theoretical research perspective and impetus for its development.
